KAUNAS PHOTO STAR - list of Finalists

We thank all the photographers who have been submitting works to KAUNAS PHOTO STAR competition. The list of Finalists is now published.

Participants of KAUNAS PHOTO festival, as usual, are not only photographers from neighboring countries. Among the selected finalists of KAUNAS PHOTO STAR are representatives of 19 countries of the world. Those from "old photographic cultures" - USA, UK, Germany, France, are joined by a number of authors from distant countries, such as Iran, Bangladesh, Venezuela, whose representatives have not previously participated at KAUNAS PHOTO festival.

KAUNAS PHOTO STAR 2010 competition, open to all photographers is on its way!
First stage - submission of works until July 15, 2010. Second stage - portfolio reviews with leading curators, publishers of photography from Lithuania, Baltic and European countries in Kaunas, on September 10-11, 2010. The winner will be invited to hold a personal exhibition at the renovated KAUNAS PHOTOGRAPHY GALLERY in September 2011 in the framework of KAUNAS PHOTO festival program.

Paroda "Laisvę fotografijai!" Plungės fotobienalėje

Nuo 2010 m. birželio 12 iki liepos 1 d. Plungės kultūros centre veiks fotomeno festivalio „Kaunas Photo“ paroda „Laisvę fotografijai!“, kurioje devyniolika fotografų iš Lietuvos ir eilės pasaulio šalių pateikia savo vizijas apie centrinę Kauno gatvę – Laisvės alėją. Parodos atidarymas Plungės kultūros centre birželio 12 d. 14 val., o 22 val. Plungės viešosios bibliotekos kiemelyje – projekcijų renginys „Festivalio Kaunas Photo klasika“.

KAUNAS PHOTO festival celebrates Portuguese and Brazilian photography

A small summer edition of the seventh international festival of photography, KAUNAS PHOTO, will celebrate Portuguese and Brazilian Photography by organizing two dedicated Nights of Photography, on June 3 and 4, 2010 open-air on the beautiful Town Square of Kaunas.

Retrospective exhibition of Aleksandras Macijauskas at the re-opened Kaunas Photography Gallery

The day came when we will officially inaugurate the Kaunas Photography Gallery after its reconstruction. On this beautiful occasion, we will present a retrospective exhibition of works of Aleksandras Macijauskas.

Time of the opening: Thursay, May 27 at 5 PM. (being late only due to important reasons:))

Place: Rotušes sq. 1 / entrance via Vilniaus str. 2, Kaunas, Lithuania (for those who already forgot).
