Every year KAUNAS PHOTO festival is bringing photography of a different country or region to spotlight. This year, a small summer edition of the seventh international festival of photography, KAUNAS PHOTO, will celebrate Portuguese and Brazilian Photography by organizing two dedicated Nights of Photography that will be held open-air on the beautiful Town Square of Kaunas. Works of 60 artists will be screened!

The Portuguese and Brazilian Nights of Photography are curated by festival director Mindaugas Kavaliauskas and students of Polytechnic Institute of Tomar: Daniela Leão, Magda Magalhães and Paulo Tavares.
KAUNAS PHOTO festival is the only yearly photo art festival in the Baltic states. Since its beginning in 2004 it has been directed by Mindaugas Kavaliauskas and organized by VsI Sviesos rastas and the Kaunas Branch of the Union of Lithuanian art Photographers.
The main edition of the seventh KAUNAS PHOTO festival will start on September 3 with most intensive days from September 8 to September 11, featuring numerous exhibition openings, international portfolio reviews, Nights of Photography, conferences and other events.
