Netipiškuose portretuose, užfiksuotuose kasdienėje aplinkoje, vaizduojami žmonės – tarsi sustingusio spektaklio personažai. Pati autorė A. Svoronou teigia taip bandanti perkonstruoti tradicines portreto ir siužeto sąvokas – jos darbuose žmonės nėra dėmesio traukos objektas, o daugiau keista, „pusiau gyva“ ar mieganti dekoracija.

A.Svoronou creates unusual portraits were the sitters are quietly absorbed in the occupations that constitute everyday life. In these pictures we are looking at figures that appear not to be ‘acting out’ their world but ‘being in’ it’. The viewer does not focus on the person itself but is free to wander around in the picture; the sitter being only a part of it and not its central point as is the case with more ‘theatrical’ pictures where the sitter becomes an ‘actor’ ‘monopolizing’ the viewer’s attention.
