The theatre – one of Gobbi’s favorite locations – uncloses in quite eccentric way in his photographs: the place where we usually observe becomes the observed place itself. Though the empty theatres fixed in several European cities are lost their direct function, they attract by their silence, surrealistic atmosphere and strange illumination, moreover, being without any theatrical attributes they presents the genuine theatricality.
